Acknowledge your feelings
In order to fully understand your experience of mental health, you must recognize what your feelings are. This can be a hard process as we are not taught to tune into our emotions and understand them, rather we are taught to suppress them and move on. Here are some tools to help you better understand your experience of emotions. The first tool is the emotion wheel. Throughout our day we experience many emotions, this wheel lists many of those emotions and can be a good resource to have to fully understand yourself. The second tool is an emotion sensation wheel, this tool can be helpful if you struggle with knowing what emotions you're feeling but are in tune with your bodily sensations.
